They’re graduates of St. Theresa Secondary, the Belleville Bearcats and the Whitby Wolves. But yesterday they were on opposite sides of the ice in the NCAA Division 1 ECAC Conference hockey championship game.
And the bragging rights go to Cassidy Vinkle. She assisted on the lone goal to give the Clarkson University Golden Knights a 1-0 win over Hanna Bunton and the Cornell Big Red. Vinkle is a sophomore at Clarkson where she scored 12 goals and 22 points in 38 games this season.
Clarkson and Cornell will meet again at the NCAA National quarter finals next weekend.
