The City of Quinte West is recognizing its volunteers.
Monday night, council awarded Volunteer Excellence Awards to National Air Force Museum volunteers: Bob Collier, Glenn Crellin, Aubrey LaBrie, Bob Prystai, Nancy Prystai and Ron Bird.
Council also honoured Dr. Doug Jackson for his volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army and throughout the community.
“You have a lot of skill, dedication and passion in what you (volunteers) do,” beamed councillor Karen Sharpe. “We from a community benefit from all that.”
“You are the unsung heroes, the back bone of our community,” said Councillor Duncan Armstrong. “Quinte West is a great place to work and play and because of you we live up to that motto.”
