There was lots of excitement at an east end Belleville house in the supper hour yesterday (Sunday).
City police report a homeowner went downstairs only to see two young men in the process of stealing things.
The homeowner chased the intruders out of the house, and two men took off on foot.
Police could not locate them.
The men are described as young and white. One was 6 feet tall and wearing a purple hat and the other was wearing dark clothing with white shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
