It is busier than ever at the Highway 401 / Highway 30 intersection in Brighton.
Developments such as the new McDonald’s restaurant are bringing in more traffic every day.
Brighton resident Adrian Ellis is concerned that the intersection is more dangerous than ever, leading
to an increasing number of accidents.
Meanwhile, local MPP Lou Rinaldi says the Highway 30 and Highway 401 interchange has always been far from perfect.
MPP Rinaldi says the Ministry of Transportation will begin a complete re-work of the Brighton 401 interchange, including around Telephone Road. Work will begin this year and be finished in 2018.
Part of that work could include lowering the grade of a hill on Highway 30 just south of 401 to increase visibility, something Rinaldi says has always been a problem.
