On Wednesday, Governor General David Johnston is going to present a Meritorious Service Decoration to a former Belleville Bull who has helped the struggling families of sick children.
Former Montreal Canadiens defenceman and current Nashville Predators’ standout PK Subban will receive the honour in the atrium that bears his name at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Even though he was traded to Nashville, Subban is keeping his promise to raise $10 million over seven years — something the hospital calls the biggest philanthropic commitment by a sports figure in Canadian history. (The Canadian Press)
