Quinte West council is interested in an abandoned rail bed running north from Frankford to Glen Ross.
Mayor Jim Harrison will speak to the Minister of Infrastructure about the trail, which is owned by the province, but looked after by the volunteer “Friends of the Lower Trent Trail”.

Currently, the trail is off-limits to motorized vehicles, but that could change in future if improvements are made by the city.
