The Wellington Dukes fell short as they were defeated 5-2 by Whitby last night.
Colin Doyle and Mitchell Mendonca scored the only goals for the Dukes.
Final shots were Wellington 41, Whitby 44.
And the Trenton Golden Hawks came out on top with a 7-2 victory over Markham yesterday.
Goals were scored by Connor Quinn, Andrew Cordssen-David, Chris Sekelyk, Anthony Sorrentino, Louis DiMatteo and two by Rex Moe.
Golden Hawks defenseman Louis DiMatteo says they played well but still have room for improvement before heading into playoffs.
