Canada is celebrating its 150th anniversary and Friday the nation’s heritage was showcased with one of the country’s oldest traditions, tapping for sap.
At O’Hara Mills, dignitaries and maple syrup producers gathered to tap the first trees of the year.

The early warmth of the past few weeks has given producers a chance at an early harvest of sap.
