A young man is lucky to be alive after being hit by a vehicle on Mineral Road, just north of Walmart in Belleville last night.
City police report the man was walking in the middle of the road at 8:30 when he was hit.
The man, in his 20s, suffered non-life threatening injuries to his lower body.
Police did not lay any charges.
Meanwhile, Belleville police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on an assault
charge. If you have information on the whereabouts of 31 year old David William Whiteman, call police or Crimestoppers.
Whiteman is known to frequent Belleville and Eldorado, north of Madoc.
