The Mayor of Quinte West is hoping to hear soon if the provincial government will approve a new OPP police headquarters for the city.
Mayor Jim Harrison says the city’s proposal is now in front of the Minister of Infrastructure and some direction from him is expected within two or three weeks.

The city would design, build and pay for the new OPP headquarters. If approved it would be located on the site of the current police station in Trenton.
