A local figure skater is coming home with his first international medal, after a competition this past weekend in Germany.
ENSS grad Trennt Michaud and his partner Evelyn Walsh skated in the long program at the Bavarian Open in Germany, where they scored a personal best, breaking the 100 mark for the first time.
They took home a gold medal in the event as well.
The two return to Canada, where they will continue preparing for the Junior World championships in Taipei next month.
Both Walsh and Michaud will be in Prince Edward County skating at their year end event as well on April 2nd.
It is Michaud’s home club.
