A well-known, and local, author will be honoured this week by the Hastings County Historical Society.
Peter C. Newman will be recognized for his work bringing important parts of Canadian history alive for everyone to enjoy through his books and articles.
Newman, who lives in Belleville, has written over 30 books and worked as a journalist, columnist, and editor at The Financial Post, Toronto Star, and Maclean’s magazine.
The celebration will be held in the Parrott Gallery at the Belleville library Thursday from 2 until 4.
Everyone is welcome.
