We’re in for a little heat wave this weekend.
After a cold start, Environment Canada is predicting a high of plus 7 in the Quinte region today (Saturday). The Weather Network believes the mercury could climb as high as 9 degrees celsius.
Meanwhile, tomorrow, Environment Canada is calling for a high of plus 7, while the Weather Network is predicting topping out at 8 degrees.
Neither organization is calling for a new record high in our area.
Today’s record (February 18), as measured at CFB Trenton, is 10.3 degrees, set in 2011.
The record high for tomorrow (February 19) is 9 degrees, set back in 1994.
