A Belleville man has been sentenced in an assault investigation involving a taser and hammer.
On January 10th, police were called to an apartment building on Cannifton Road just after midnight.
Some residents said a man had been threatening them with a hammer.
When police went to the man’s apartment, he became confrontational and a taser was deployed.
47 year old Daniel Assesley was charged.
He has been handed 45 days in jail, 1 year probation, a 5 year weapons prohibition and must submit a DNA order.
