The Belleville Police Service responded to 54 calls for service between February 14th, 2017 at 5:00 a.m. and February 15th, 2017 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrested on Warrant
On February 15th 2017 at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers on patrol in the west end of Belleville spoke to an individual on a bike whom they thought they recognized and knew was wanted on a warrant. The male provided a false name and took off on the bike. The male ditched the bike a short distance away and continued to try and evade police on foot. The male was located a short time later and arrested. A 30 year old Belleville male was charged with the possession of stolen property and he remains in police custody pending a Show Cause Hearing scheduled for the 15th of February.
Arrested for Breaching Release Conditions
On the 14th of February 2017 at approximately 12:30 p.m., police were notified regarding a 22 year old Belleville man who was breaching conditions of his Undertaking. Police were able to locate the male who had left the area in a vehicle. Following the investigation, the male was arrested and charged with 2 counts of breaching his Undertaking and held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing which was on the 14th of February.
