It’s likely the City of Belleville will have a brand new Zamboni ice resurfacer in its fleet in the near future.
An 8 year old Zamboni machine needs expensive repairs so staff is recommending council buy another Zamboni resurfacer at a cost of $107,000 including tax.
Council had set aside $110,000 for a new Zamboni.
The City of Belleville has a fleet of 6 Zamboni machines, 5 at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre and one stored at the Memorial Arena downtown which is used for outdoor rinks in the harbour.
Belleville council meets this afternoon (Monday) at 4 o’clock at the Build Belleville office on Pinnacle Street.
