A 23 year-old Quinte West man is facing serious charges from Belleville Police, in connection with an ongoing break-in and assault investigation.
Police were first called this past Tuesday, when the suspect’s ex-girlfriend told police he was in her house and that her phone had been broken during some sort of altercation.
The man left the house before police arrived and the woman told them about a previous altercation between them as well.
The man was tracked down at his home in Quinte West on Wednesday, where they recovered stolen property from commercial break-ins in September and October last year, in the Belleville area.
The suspect’s name wasn’t released, but he’s charged with one count each of break and enter to commit murder, counselling to commit murder, mischief, assault, weapons dangerous and two counts of break and enter to commit a theft.
