The power has been restored to everyone in a part of east end Belleville after a car slammed into a hydro pole late yesterday afternoon on Herchimer Avenue.
The pole was sheared off at its base, and the driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
At first the power was out to over one thousand homes, but many had their lights back on by 9 o’clock.
Less than 50 homes in the immediate vicinity of the collision were without power until around 3 o’clock this morning.
