This winter has been fairly warm, however, that is not all good news for municipalities.
Tyendinaga Township Clerk Steve Mercer says they have struggled with the extra cost of salt this year.
Mercer says he expects by month’s end, they’ll surpass $100,000.
With March and April still to come, he says they could have to find some big dollars to fight the slippery roads.
