On the eve of what should be a well attended public meeting on proposed school closures and amalgamations in Prince Edward County, the area’s local MPP is getting involved.
Prince Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith has set up a petition for residents to sign asking that rural schools be kept open.
The petition is available through Smith’s office or can be found on his website.
A school accommodation review public meeting is scheduled for tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute.
Another public meeting is scheduled for February 8th for Belleville schools at Quinte Secondary.
