Distracted driving was a major focus for Central Hastings OPP in January.
In total, they laid three dozen charges, with half coming in one afternoon.
During patrol last Wednesday, officers set up at Highway 62, near Walmart, where they laid 16 charges.
The fine is now $490 and includes three demerit points.
