Intoxicated male
Belleville, Ontario – On January 27th, 2017, at 5:58 p.m. police attended on Pinnacle Street at Bridge St. East in relation to an intoxicated male kicking at garbage. There was a concern that he was going to stumble into traffic. A 44-year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
Attempted Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario – On January 27th, 2017, at 5:11 p.m. a homeowner on Byron Street reported that 3 males were attempting to slide a kitchen window to gain entry into the home. The trio fled on foot when confronted. A 17-year-old male was arrested a short time later. He was charged with attempted break and enter, breach of a recognizance, and breach of probation. He will appear in Youth Court on February 21st, 2017.
Light standard struck
Belleville, Ontario – On January 28th, 2017, at 1:08 a.m. police attended on Bell Blvd. as a traffic light standard had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The light standard was on the roadway in front of the Tim Hortons. A short time later the driver of the Jeep that struck the light standard phoned the police. A 36 year old Belleville man was charged with making an improper left turn. No one was injured.
