A convicted serial rapist who walked away from a unit at Collins Bay Institution in Kingston has been arrested.
51 year old David Maracle was arrested by police in Cornwall.
A resident spotted a man who looked like Maracle in the Cornwall Square Shopping Centre and police arrested him without incident.
Maracle, who is originally from Brantford, escaped Collins Bay through a window Sunday night.
He will be transferred to a detention centre in the Ottawa area today (Friday).
