A lot of high school and elementary school students in the Quinte region need to get their shots.
Bill Sherlock of the Hastings Prince Edward Health Unit says 3,760 secondary school, and 650 elementary school students do not have updated immunization records.
All of them are receiving first notices of suspension.
If those students can’t prove they’ve had their immunization shots updated by April 1, they face being suspended from class.
Immunization clinics are being offered both in schools and at the Health Unit office.
