The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Belleville Police Service are investigating after a box containing dead newborn puppies was discovered in the city’s east end yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
The box contained the bodies of 12 puppies.
It was found around Farley Avenue.
Anyone with information is asked to call the OSPCA, the Belleville Police, or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
