Belleville Police were involved in a short pursuit yesterday afternoon that resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man.
A suspect fled when an officer stopped a vehicle in the downtown.
Police engaged in a pursuit but called it off shortly after for public safety.
The suspect was arrested a little later in the north east end of the city.
A Deseronto man faces numerous charges including Flight from Police, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and breach of probation.
He’s also charged with theft in connection with a theft of gas incident in Belleville on Tuesday.
He was held for a court appearance today.
