Belleville born Trennt Michaud and partner Evelyn Walsh are in the lead after the junior pairs short program at the Canadian Tire National Skating Championships in Ottawa.
Michaud is a graduate of the Prince Edward Figure Skating Club. He and Walsh are coming off a strong showing at the International Skating Union’s Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Germany in October. They will skate their “Free” program today.
Michaud and his former partner Hope McLean won last year’s Canadian Junior Pairs Figure Skating Championship.
