The Ontario Alpine Ski racing season has begun with competitors from the Batawa Ski Racing Club posting good results on the first weekend.
The Under 12 Batawa Wildcats swept the podium at Brimacombe ski hill in Oshawa. Anna Schmoll, Haleigh MacPherson and Molly Henderson finished one-two-three.
The Under 14 Batawa Tigers opened at Blue Mountain. Isaac Hollinger brought home gold.
And the Under 16 Batawa Bandits competed at Horseshoe Valley. Annissa Bray had a second overall finish. Chloe O’Boyle Kelly was 4th. Padraigh Brady led the boys team.
