Staff for the City of Quinte West isn’t interested in getting involved in creating regulations and enforcing them when it comes to where e-cigarettes can be used.
At its meeting Monday, Quinte West council will see a report on e-cigarettes and regulations.
Some people are asking that municipalities clamp down on where they can be consumed in the same ways
that regular cigarettes have been.
Staff recommends council be content to let the federal and provincial governments provide the regulations and enforcement of e-cigarettes.
Quinte West council meets Monday at 6:30 at city hall.
