Shorelines Casino Belleville was packed on opening night as hundreds flocked to the City’s newest tourist destination to try their luck at a variety of slot and table games.
Director of Marketing, Ontario East Joel Slanisky said almost 1,500 people were through the doors in less than three hours of the grand opening ceremony held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Quinte News spoke with some eager to play patrons.
Also on opening night many said they enjoyed the sounds of local country sensation Ambush, a variety of live entertainment and premium cuisine from the full restaurant – The Buffet.
The night got started with an ice breaking ceremony with Belleville mayor Taso Christopher and casino officials marking the official opening. The casino also generously donated $5,000 to Belleville’s Gleaner’s Food Bank.
