There’s been yet another crash on the westbound 401 in the Brighton area, which has led to a complete closure of the highway.
Northumberland OPP say a tractor trailer jack-knifed, just west of the County Road 30 exit, around noon today.
In a press release Constable Steve Bates tells Quinte News, a passenger was reportedly thrown from the truck and Ornge air ambulance has been called in.
There’s no word on when the highway will re-open, but OPP say they’ll update the situation as new information is available.
For now, avoid the westbound 401 near Brighton, until further notice.
