A Prince Edward County woman has died following an collision with her all terrain vehicle late Saturday afternoon.
Prince Edward County OPP report the woman had left a home on Black Road in Sophiasburgh ward to drive a short distance to her own home.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday evening, someone called OPP after spotting a woman lying on the road with head injuries. An undamaged ATV was idling nearby.
The woman was not wearing a helmet.
Sixty-one-year-old Kathryn Richards of Sophiasburgh ward died in a Kingston hospital Sunday night.
Alcohol was not a factor in the mishap.
