A 19 year old Brighton man has been charged, after a suspect set off the metal detector at the Belleville Courthouse Wednesday.
Shortly after 9:00 a.m., a Belleville officer working the front security entrance scanned a man, who set off the security machine.
A search of the suspect revealed brass knuckles, which are a prohibited weapon.
Brian Squires has been charged with weapons dangerous to the public peace.
He has a February 9th court date at the Belleville Courthouse.
