The Municipality of Tweed has one of its largest projects in years ahead of itself in 2017.
The installation of a new cell in the sewage lagoon is a top priority and Mayor Joanne Albert says they cannot pay for it alone.
She says it costs about $4 million and they have already been turned down twice for upper tier government funding.
Albert says it will help with the increase in residents, along with support for economic development.
