Anyone using the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre for the foreseeable future should take note, one of the driveways to the facility is being closed to public traffic.
Workers from the City of Belleville and Ball Construction put up fencing on the northwest side of the building, where work will take place, on Thursday (today) so that driveway is being closed and will only be accessible by construction vehicles and in case of emergencies.
Anyone visiting the sports centre should use the southwest entrance to get into the parking lot, that’s the first driveway if you’re northbound on Cannifton Road.
City staff say they’re still planning for the close to $20 million dollar project to be finished by November of this year.
