The Prince Edward OPP detachment is investigating a pair break and enters – one at a business on Main Street in Picton and the other at a private residence in Sophiasburgh.
The first was reported to have happened between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on December 31 where a front window to a local pizzeria on Main Street Picton was smashed.
The suspect entered and took the business’ cash register containing a quantity of cash.
The second was reported on the evening of January 2, 2017. A resident on Kimball Lane in Sophiasburgh returned home at approximately 10 p.m. and discovered the home had been broken into. One long gun, a pellet gun, electronics, jewellery and ice skates are among the stolen items.
