A member of the Picton Pirates has earned a huge honour in the Provincial Junior C Hockey League.
Forward Nick Hoey won the December Player of the Month award for the Tod Division of the Eastern Conference.
The Belleville native recorded eight goals and 12 points in seven games, including two game-winning goals, to help lead the Pirates to a 6-1 record and third place in the division.
The 17-year-old has played in all situations for Chris Masterson’s team and has reaped the benefits immensely. He now has 14 goals (tied for second on the team) and 20 points (good for fifth on the team).
As an added bonus, he has been very disciplined, earning zero penalty minutes.
The entire Picton Pirates organization congratulations Nick on this achievement and hope for a bright future from their young star.
