Looking ahead to 2017 Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis said sustainable infrastructure is key.
MP Ellis pointed to how local municipalities saw a slight increase in 2016 to their federal gas tax payouts.
When it comes to legislation in the queue, MP Ellis said discussion around the legalization of marijuana is expected in the spring.
MP Ellis said he is also looking forward to the Canada 150 anniversary and many celebrations in 2017.
