The big news for Deseronto in 2016 was completion of its new sewage treatment plant.
Mayor Norm Clarke says it took three years to complete.
He says this plant, which was developed in partnership with the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, will help allow for more development in the town.
Mayor Clarke says the Deseronto transit service, which serves five communities, was upgraded for accessibility this year.
