It wasn’t quite as easy of a road to victory as last Sunday, but the Trenton Golden Hawks still managed to hold off the pesky Pickering Panthers for a 3-2 win Friday night.
Five days after soundly beating the Panthers 6-2, the G-Hawks mustered all three of their goals in the second period and had to prevent a late third period rally. Austin Bottrell, Jeremy Pullara and Michael Silveri all found the back of the net for Trenton, while Chris Janzen stopped 21 shots in a winning effort in goal.
Final shots favoured Trenton 27-23. The victory is the G-Hawks sixth in a row.
The G-Hawks are off until after Christmas, when they play back-to-back games on the road in Toronto against the St. Michael’s Buzzers and in Lindsay versus the Muskies.
