MPP Todd Smith says 2016 was a year of frustration for a lot of residents in Hastings Prince Edward.
The provincial member of parliament says the price of hydro was once again the main focus of most residents.
He says it is been his biggest focus since being elected.
The good news according to Smith is that the 8% HST will come off bills on January first, however that only affects residential customers, not businesses.
As far as a good news story in the year that was, Smith pointed to the first to keep demonstration schools open across Ontario, including Sagonaska in Belleville.
Smith says it was an issue that emerged early in 2016.
