An investigation is underway after a number of contraband items were seized from a local correctional facility.
Assistant Warden at Joyceville Institution Lorrie Oddie says tobacco, strips of fentanyl, suboxone and methamphetamine were found in a package, that a visitor was trying to bring inside earlier this week.
The Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad is now looking into the case.
Oddie says the Correctional Service of Canada uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from getting inside its facilities and have even set up an anonymous phone line for tips.
