Belleville’s lead has turned into a victory for Halifax.
Back in May, the City of Belleville hosted its first ever world championship, the Under-19 Women’s World Floorball Championships.
It set several attendance records and helped put Canada on the floorball map.
Now just months later, Canada will host another world tournament, this time in Halifax.
Nova Scotia has been selected for the U-19 Men’s tournament.
Belleville tourney President Brett Davis helped Halifax with their bid, and says Quinte’s example was a big reason for Halifax getting the tournament.
Davis will be on the board for the Halifax championship in 2019.
