ROBBERY AT LOCAL BUSINESS IN BANCROFT
(Bancroft, ON) – On December 16, 2016, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit investigated a robbery at Canadian Tire on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.
The robbery occurred at approximately 8:56 p.m. when two males, with their faces disguised, entered the business, demanded money and fled from the store on foot to a vehicle. An undisclosed amount of money was removed from the business and there were no injuries as a result of the robbery.
The suspects were captured on video surveillance and are described as:
First male is described as a black male, early twenties, approximately 6’2” tall, thin build, wearing a grey hoodie, grey track pants and black shoes with a red bandana over his face.
Second male is described as indigenous, early twenties, approximately 5’6” to 5”8, heavier set, thin mustache, brown eyes, black hair, high cheekbones and was wearing a dark blue hoodie with a Toronto Maple Leafs emblem, dark grey track pants with his face covered with a light coloured balaclava.
