The Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes were both home on Friday night, both against Northeast Conference opponents.
As heard on CJBQ, the Dukes welcomed the Kingston Voyageurs to Essroc Arena.
The Dukes scored twice on their first four shots on goal (Rory Milne, Brody Morris). The Vees would make it a one goal game to complete the first frame.
Onto the second, where again Wellington would score two quick ones, both in under a minute (Milne, Colin Doyle).
In the third, Rory Milne would score his third and the Dukes would cruise to a 7-2 win. Brody Morris also had a hat trick, while Colin Doyle had one of his biggest nights of his junior career, nabbing four points.
Numerous misconducts were handed out, along with over 70 minutes in penalties in the third.
Wellington is next in action Sunday when they host the Stouffville Spirit.

After 20 minutes of play it remained scoreless, despite the fact Trenton carried the play.
In the middle frame Trenton would finally get on the board. Liam Morgan would score at 10:45, followed by a marker from Ben Scheel less than five minutes later. The 2nd frame would end 2-0.
Trenton would score twice more in the third and cruise to a 5-0 win. Chris Janzen would earn the shutout, while Liam Morgan kicked in with two points.
Trenton is back in action Sunday, when they travel to Pickering to take on the Panthers.
