2016 was a year of challenge, but also a year of victory for the staff and administration at Quinte Health Care.
Earlier this year, Health Minister Doctor Eric Hoskins announced that day surgery at Trenton Memorial would remain and they would also push forward with creating a health hub in Quinte West.
CEO Mary Clare Egberts says during the intense financial pressure of 2016, they needed the government’s assistance.
She says it is a huge relief for staff, patients and the community.
Egberts says looking at 2017, they will have small financial pressures, which will allow them to focus more on the patient experience.
