A massive building at 8-Wing Trenton is now in operation.
Base Commander Colonel Colin Keiver tells Quinte News, that Hangar 6, constructed along Highway #2 is now being used.
Hangar 6 has two bays to work in, and will allow for general maintenance of the C-17 Globemaster, but can also house the Hercules and other planes at 8-Wing.
Keiver says in January, the Minister of Defence will come to Trenton to officially cut the ribbon.
No date has been set.
