A brilliant effort from their goaltender was not enough to earn a win for the Wellington Dukes Saturday night.
In his Dukes debut, Victor-Olivier Courchesne made 37 saves in a 2-1 Dukes loss on the road against the Toronto Patriots.
Brayden Stortz earned his 20th goal of the season to bump his OJHL leading point total to 52 for the season. Colin Doyle and Brody Morris added assists on the goal.
Final shots favored the Patriots 39-27.
The Dukes are back in action next Friday when they take on the Kingston Voyageurs on home ice in their “Pink in the Rink” game. That one will be on CJBQ with Jack Miller.
