Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service from the 7th of December 2016 at 5:00 a.m. to the 8th of December 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
On the 8th day of December 2016, Belleville Police Service had a RIDE spot check set up at North Front and Strachan Street. Officers checked 146 cars and issued one three day suspension. In another incident, a vehicle was pulled over and investigation revealed the passenger was on conditions for charges earlier in the fall. He was on conditions not to be in the City of Belleville. The 18 year old Quinte West male was arrested for the breach of his undertaking. The male was also found to be in possession of over 100 grams of marijuana. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today (Thursday). His charges are possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of his undertaking.
