The local Salvation Army chapter is halfway through its annual Christmas Kettle Campaign and is still looking for donations and volunteers.
Spokesperson Abby Mills tells Quinte News so far the campaign has raised just under $71,000, or about 44% percent of this year’s goal.
Mills says they’re grateful for all of the donations they’ve received and hopes people will continue to drop some change, or maybe more, into kettles around the area while they’re finishing their holiday shopping.
Mills also says they’re still looking for volunteers to spend a shift at the kettles.
